2015 Best Neighborhoods TOP 10: North Central Plano

Have you heard? Plano has made Dallas Morning News' 2015 Best Neighborhoods list!

As we have heard many times over, Plano continues to draw companies in, such as Toyota USA's corporate headquarters, FedEx Headquarters, Boston-based Liberty Mutual Insurance, which is constructing a huge service center in Legacy business park, adjacent to Toyota and FedEx. The Liberty Mutual project would consolidate operations from multiple locations. This alone will bring literally thousands of jobs to the area; however, some employees will relocate with their companies.

As we look at Plano, which is build-out from a residential standpoint, these employees will seek pre-existing homes primarily in the Plano, Frisco, McKinney, The Colony and Allen areas. So what this means is that homes will become more in demand and as we know, we already have a low inventory of housing. With a high demand and low inventory, we know what that does, it drives prices higher.

Oh, let's not forget the new State Farm, Headquarters in Richardson, The Dallas Cowboys' training facility under construction in Frisco and the billion dollar project in The Colony dubbed Grandscape, anchored by Nebraska Furniture Mart, will depict a vibrant mixed-use development featuring a convention center, restaurants, and an outdoor amphitheater.
